Tiberius Asset Management founder Christoph Eibl is marking 25 years in the gold trade.
His first gold position, about a quarter-century ago, was a short of 2,000 ounces at roughly $260 — essentially the post-Bretton Woods all-time low; as he puts it, ‘a beginner must pay his dues.’ Eibl founded Tiberius in 2005 after trading gold at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and the fully revised third edition of his book on the gold trade reaches high-street bookshops this year.
The piece appears in Alchemist Issue 123.
