UK pawnbroker and jeweller Ramsdens has held its £32-35 million profit guidance after precious metals gross profit doubled from £18 million to approximately £36 million, driven by elevated gold prices and a 40% increase in the average weight of gold purchased. Its pawnbroking loan book grew to £15.9 million from £11.5 million, and jewellery retail gross profit rose around 20% despite higher gold input costs.
