Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Christopher Hui toured Switzerland's top gold refineries — Valcambi, Argor-Heraeus and MKS PAMP — urging them to set up or expand operations in Hong Kong. The October 7 visit is part of a full-court press to turn the city into a global bullion hub.
Hui met Valcambi CEO Simone Knobloch, Argor-Heraeus CEO Robin Kolvenbach and MKS PAMP's top brass, joined by Hong Kong Precious Metals Central Clearing CEO Bryan Chan. The pitch: policy support for refiners that plant their flag in the city.
